We had a nice stay at Simberts Maya Beach apartments. Perfect get away for some peace and quiet. Its tucked away from the loud touristy areas of Placencia but still has a nice public beach a 5 min walk away and is nestled among the beautiful mangroves. Lots of cool wildlife. There is a market and restaurants <5 min away and its very safe. The lagoon is really fun to explore and is home to manatees, good fishing, and lots of other cool wildlife.

The best part of Simberts apartments? Herbert & Simone! Really neat people, great spot, spacious and a great place to stay in the heat and mosquitos that are just part of the Placencia coast experience. Thanks so much for everything Herbert – hopefully see you in New Zealand sometime 🙂

Herbert and Simone were very attentive hosts! We received a warm and sincere welcome. We had some serious problems with our vehicle travelling and they were really helpful and full of assistance! The hosts really go out of their way to ensure a great experience. Their accommodations were clean, comfortable, and right next to the beautiful beach!

Our experience with Herbert and Simone was sublime. We were very comfortable at their place. It was clean and comfortable and quiet. They helped give us several perfect restaurant recommendations. They gave us several snorkeling recommendations and even pointed out a nice public beach within walking distance. We borrowed their small boat and enjoyed the lagoons which was awesome! And best of all we enjoyed the company of the host and their cats while enjoying the birds and wildlife visiting their property. I would highly recommend this property!
